THE BUILD SERIES: A Time Lapse Update
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on my Build Series, and that’s because there’s not been that much to report. Things have been ticking over nicely and our builders have been working so hard to keep the project on track for us.
We’ve had a couple of months of diggers making trenches and moving soil around, and then a further couple of months filling said trenches with concrete.
Which, to be frank is just not pretty enough to show on a blog!
But I am a bit of a geek, and do really love seeing the construction stages, so to keep a record of the process, I put up a Brinno Time-lapse Camera on site. After some teething problems (software related), and missing nearly two months of construction footage, I managed to get the camera working and when I took it down last week, I had a lovely surprise. It had actually recorded something!
So instead of waiting until the end of the build, I’ve decided to share the beginning stages here to show the progress over the last six months. For a relatively modest build, I feel like the groundworks stage has been a bit epic! But this was due to the semi-basement floor requiring underpinning and retaining wall structures, but finally the groundworks are complete, and now, finally, three years into the process, we can start moving onwards, and most importantly, upwards!
